Jurgen Klopp was furious with a Norwegian journalist for a 'dump question' after Liverpool lost the FA Cup quarterfinals to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Reds quadruple dreams this season fell apart at Old Trafford as Manchester United fought back to secure a 4-3 victory and book a place in the semifinals of the competition.

Scott McTominay scored the first goal of the match, putting United ahead in the 10th minute.

Mac Allister equalised for the Reds in the 44th minute before Mohamed Salah completed the turnaround in the first half of the game, scoring in first-half added time to make it 2-1.

Manchester United left it late to nail home the equaliser as Antony fired a low shot pass Caoimhin Kelleher to make it 2-2 and drag the game to extra time.

Harvey Elliot put Liverpool ahead again in extra time but Marcus Rashford canceled out the lead with a goal in the 115th minute. In the final touch of the game, Amad Diallo scored a 121st-minute goal to knock out Liverpool from the competition.

After the game, Jurgen Klopp was granting a post-match interview to a Norwegian Journalist before he suddenly flipped and went furious over a query he described as 'dump' from the journalist.

The journalist was asking him about Liverpool's apparent loss of intensity towards the end of the game.

Responding to the query, a furious Klopp said the journalist was not in shape, hence he (Klopp) need not waste time engaging him.

"That's a bit of a dumb question.

''If you see us often, you can ask us the other times why we have so much energy.

''I don't know how many games we've had recently and how many Manchester United have had. That's sport.

"I'm really disappointed about that question, but you thought obviously it's good.'

The reporter then added: "So too many games?''

This led to a furious Klopp responding: 'Oh you don't think that. Come on!

''You are obviously not in a great shape and I have no nerves for you,'' Klopp walked out of the journalist.

Klopp led Liverpool to the EFL Cup trophy this season and was hoping to add the FA Cup trophy to the list as he pushes for a historic quadruple.

With the loss to United, the German tactician will now focus on the Premier League and the Europa League title.
