The Nigerian Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars announces the signature of Nigeria's World Cup star and Captain, Ahmed Musa. Ahmed Musa, who have been without a club for a while was linked with a move back to the NPFL, as well as a link to the English Premier League side, West Bromwich, but the deal fell through.

Kano Pillars made this announcement on Tuesday night, via their Instagram page. According to the Kano Pillars media officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, who revealed the signature, “Ahmad Musa is our own, and Pillars FC will continue to support him anytime and anywhere he found himself."

Musa, who played for the Nigerian side before his move to the European side, VVV Venlo, scored 18 goals in his final season in Nigeria and finished as the top scorer for that season. Musa went further to play for English side Leicester City, CSKA Moscow of Russia, and Al-Nassr.

Part of the contractual agreement between Ahmed Musa's party and Kano Pillars reads that Musa will be released whenever he gets an offer. Musa will be unveiled by the state governor, Dr. Alhaji Umar Ganduje.

Kano Pillars currently leads the Nigerian Professional Football League table with19 matches played. They will be looking to make it a fifth title, with the addition of Musa.
