Popular Nigerian actress, Kate Henshaw has fired back at the aide of the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the person of Rotimi Oyekanmi.
Prof Mahmood Yakubu is the INEC chairman.
Kate Henshaw is a 51 year old Nigerian actress who is well known for her roles in movies.
The drama began when the Independent National Electoral Commission announced that the governorship election and state House of Assembly had been rescheduled.
A twitter user complained that INEC is fond of releasing information at odd hours of the day.
Kate Henshaw replied to the tweet and said that it was only thieves who tweet at such odd hours.
Rotimi Oyekanmi seeing that tweet made by Kate Henshaw decided to respond to Kate about the tweet she posted.
He mentioned that she should know better. He said she ought to know about the conduct of elections and violence especially after she made an appearance in a film that was about electoral processes. He asked if she has ever conducted an election before to make such a statement.
Kate Henshaw wasn't having it and she replied saying the only respect she had for him was because he is older than she is and told him to stop saying gibberish. She addressed the fact that INEC always makes excuses for their incompetence and wondered how long they would continue this way and then told him to step aside.
