Nigerian actress kemi Afolabi has finally been able to recover the money which she mistakenly trying to a GTB customer
Recall that the actress had just returned from Mecca some months ago when this incident occurred. She had mistakenly transferred a sum of N510,000 to a customer. This amount is a huge amount and the transfer to this person was a mistake. This happened in April.
Both she and the person she transferred to use Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB).
She then took to social media to cry and lament over the fact that she sent such money by mistake.
She posted this on her Instagram page pleading with people to help her out. She revealed it happened on the 1st of April.
She then recently told people to help her tag GTB because its been over 3 months already and her money wasn't refunded. She revealed how exhausted she was over the matter and truly her fans began to help her tag the bank to make a refund as both parties involved use GTB.
Just yesterday, she shared an update on the matter via her Instagram account saying they have refunded her money.
She revealed that coming to social media worked like magic as the bank did the needful immediately.
She then appreciated everyone who helped her tag GTB till the attended to her.
She also revealed that it was the GTB Fraud Unit who made sure the money she had erroneously transferred had been refunded to her account.
She then revealed to her followers not to underestimate the power of social media seeing as this worked.
