Kenya police arrest two Nigerians for allegedly killing and dismembering a 20-year-old lady
Two Nigerian men have been arrested by the Kenyan Police for murdering and dismembering a 20-year-old lady identified to be Rita Waeni. Rita was a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). On January 14th, her dismembered corpse was discovered in her apartment located at Roysambu, Nairobi inside a trash bag by the apartment's caretaker.
After hours of investigation, her head was recovered from a dam in Kiambaa, in Kiambi county on the 21st of January. The suspected murderers Jihnbull Asbur and William Ovie Opia are illegal immigrants in Kenya with expired passports. They have been summoned to court by the Chief Magistrate of Makadara Law Court yesterday, the 22nd of January.
One Constable Benjamin Wangila disclosed that these two were suspected to have been murderers of the young lady because their hidden spot was the closest to the dam where her head was found. Also, items like a butcher knife, hatchet, three laptops, six phones, 10 SIM cards, etc were found in their apartment after they were raised by the police. The court had ordered they be detained till January 31st until the case is sorted out.
