Kidnappers demand N10m ransom for Ondo Imam
The bandits who abducted the Imam in Ondod state recently have demanded for a sum of N10 million as ransom.
This Imam has been identified as Alhaji Ibrahim Bodunde Oyinlade. He is 67 years old and he was kidnapped recently. He is the Chief Imam of the Uso community in Akure, Ondo state.
Recall the bandits had ambushed him at his farm last Saturday and kidnapped him. This was afternoon that day. He had been working on his farm located at Asolo Farm Camp I Uso community.
When his family didn't see him, they searched for him and traced him to the farm. They then saw only his phone and vehicle but didn't see him.
It was one of the relatives of the victim who revealed that the Kidnappers had demanded ransom. Recall the family had said that the kidnappers had called them earlier and told them the Imam was with them but didn't ask for money. They have now finally made their request.
They also revealed that the kidnappers said they must pay on time otherwise they would find themselves to blame.
The family had begged saying he was a religious leader and they couldn't afford such an amount but this men didn't answer them.
Funmi Odunlami, who is the soikerperson of the command said the police are searching the bushes to kocaye them and rescue the Imam.
