Following the recent kidnapping of 280 students in Kaduna State, the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has said that the kidnappers deserve capital punishment.
During a meeting with the Women Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja yesterday, Remi Tinubu urged the security agencies, state governors, and legislators to take proper steps to curb the incessant kidnappings across the country.
She said, "Whoever is kidnapping young people is sick, cruel, and a coward. Enough is enough and I call on the state governors that once we take hold of them, they deserve capital punishment.
Why are they torturing our children? What they are doing is trying to kill our future. When we are old, we rely on our children to see that our investment has not gone to waste. Why would you go and take them from schools?
They're animals. They are evil and we should take them from among our midst, wherever they come from. The state governors should do something. Especially the lawmakers of each state."
