Kidnappers kill man and abduct his son in Ondo state.


Some suspected Gunmen/ kidnappers have killed a 53 year old man in Ondo state. The victim has been identified as Isaac Odeh.

The kidnappers went ahead to abduct his 23 year old son whose name is Solomon Odeh.

The junction happened in Ijagba community, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The victims had been on their way to the farm when the incident happened.

These kidnappers had collected a sum of N400,000 as ransom to release the father but after collecting the money, they still killed him. The son was released.

Mr Sunday Ogoh who is a Chief in the community was saddened by the numerous attacks on the locals in the community.

He revealed that a chairman from the community was also killed by these suspected gunmen who have been troubling the community.

He had also revealed that they found the body of the deceased in the busy after searching for him for a long time.

They have now taken his remains to the mortuary.

They have now begun to cry out to the government for help due to these issues. They no longer feel safe going to the farm or sleep with their eyes closed.

Solomon, who is the son of the deceased, narrated how they had been tied up and these gunmen had threatened to kill them if their relatives didn't deliver the ransom.

He lamented on how they killed his father after the ransom was paid.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, has confirmed this incident went ahead to assure the people that the police are Working to locate these suspects.
