Sad news of a father and his five daughters kidnapped by a group of bandits in their home in Abuja last week has been trending online for days now.

According to reports, the father of the five girls was released by the bandits to go in search of an N60M ransom to get his daughters back. Seeing that their father couldn't meet their demands, one of his daughters Nabeeha was killed by the bandits, and her corpse was sent home to the father.

The bandits are now requesting a sum of N65M to release his four daughters. With the deadline fast approaching in two days, Nigerians have taken to social media to crowdfund for the family. Unfortunately, the security agencies haven't given any feedback on rescuing the girls from the kidnappers' den.

This isn't the only kidnapping that occurred last week. A group of family members, 13 girls and their guardian who happened to be their uncle, were kidnapped along Abuja-Kaduna road. Unfortunately, their uncle had been killed by the bandits.

Esther Otegiri, a youth Corp member from Benue State was also kidnapped on her way to her PPA from Benin and the kidnappers are demanding a N50M ransom.
