The Police Command in Lagos have confirmed the arrest of 3 people over the death of this young doctor. Recall a tragic accident occured last week and this had claimed the life of a young doctor who had only 2 weeks to complete her housemanship.
This incident occured at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos.

This young doctor died last week due to an elevator malfunction. She had been on her way to get her food from a dispatch rider downstairs of the building she stays in and then entered the elevator. The elevator crashed from the 10th floor and led to this lady being severely injured. Apparently, this elevator had been faulty for some time but nothing was done to fix it.

It took an hour before she was removed from the elevator, bloodied and bruised and passed away at the hospital after a delay because of no blood. She had been rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital for treatment but eventually passed away.

It was a sad incident indeed. It was the spokesperson of the police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest of these 3 people. He confirmed this yesterday, Saturday to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). This was in Lagos state.

He didn't identify the 3 people who were arrested in connection to this case. Their names have been withheld from the general public.
He just shared that the police had begun an investigation into the case.

Recall the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu had also promised to commence a thorough investigation into the case to get to the root of the matter.
