Lagos police reveal that they recovered weapons at Alaba shanties
The Lagos police have revealed that they have recovered weapons at Alaba shanties.
The Lagos State Police Command revealed this information saying that this happened on Friday.
They mentioned that the officers of the command raided this area which is in the Alaba International Market in Lagos.
It was Benjamin Hundeyin who is the state Police Public Relations Officer, that revealed this information on twitter.
He says that they have arrested some suspects after they raided the place and then recovered these weapons.
He denied the false rumor of the market itself being on fire saying the officers only set the shanties on fire after raiding them.
Some had begun to panic over the news of fire burning the market.
Margaret Adeseye who is the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, also confirmed that none of the shops in the market was affected by the fire.
