Lagos State Government orders immediate closure of Ladipo Market
The government of Lagos State has ordered for the immediate closure of Ladipo Market, Mushin. The state government carried out this exercise due to alleged environmental infractions including reckless waste disposal, unhygienic premises, and non-payment of waste bills, and others.
It was the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, who is Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, who gave the order to close down the market thus has been very early on Friday morning. He revaled that the market will stay closed until the trasers I'm this market alongside the stakeholders meet the mandatory conditions of redress.
He revealed that this was also a way to instill compliance to other markets. He also stated the importance of environmental hygiene in markets. And he revealed that
