Electricity is a big issue in Nigeria. Majority of Lagos areas have no electricity and the government have not been able to solve this problem for a long time. This is also affecting hospital, businesses, food security and more. With the grocery prices going high and high, losing electricity means people are wasting food and it costing people that are already poor some money. According to studies, lack of electricity power can cause big issues like deterioration of infrastructures, lack of security, public health issues, and economy downturn. It can also cause public Hazard; lack of heating and cooling can cause heat stroke and dehydration. If will affect water and sanitation issues. A lot of what we are already seeing happening in Lagos.

What can Lagos do to fix this? they must privatize the electricity grid, and make things affordable for citizens, also they must provide tools for the Electric companies to be able to quickly get things fixed if they become defected or damaged.

do you have constant power in your area? How many hours of electricity do you have per day, per week and how expensive are things in your area?
