Large turnout of voters in Kebbi supplementary election
There was a great turnout of people who wanted to vote in Kebbi State efor the supplementary elections.
Recall the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections were held in March across many states in Nigeria.
Kebbi elections were declared inconclusive as well as that of Adamawa.
The election were then rescheduled to hold yesterday, Saturday April 15, 2023 and they did.
The election officers arrived at their polls early for the election in Kebbi State and there was a large number of voters already there.
INEC had mentioned that the supplementary governorship elections in Kebbi will be held in 142 Polling Units across 20 local government areas.
One of the INEC officers noted that the turnout for the supplementary elections was even larger than the last electiosm in March.
He noted how people were willing to carry out their voting exercises and everything was orderly.
Recall the INEC national Commissioner of voter education, Mr Festus Okoye had mentioned that INEC was ready to conduct the supplementary elections so as to stop the declaration of inconclusive elections in Kebbi.
He mentioned how they were ready for the elections and had shared the election materials to the necessary polls.
