Late Nollywood actor Mr Ibu to be buried in June
The family of the late actor John Okafor aka Mr.Ibu has announced June 28th as the official burial date. Recall that Mr. Ibu died on the 4th of March at Evercare Hospital while recuperating from a long-time illness. The burial ceremony would commence on the 25th of June spanning to June 30th, making it a 5-day ceremony to honor the memory of the deceased. In a statement signed by the Elder of the Okafor family, it says that the deceased will be buried in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West LGA in Enugu State.
The 5-day event will comprise a novelty match, candlelight procession, a wake keep, and thanksgiving. They called on the members of the public to join them as they lay the actor to rest. The statement from the Okafor family reads, "The Okafor family in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West LGA in Enugu State wishes to honor the loving memory of our hero and a legend John Ikechukwu Okafor who even in death has left a legacy of love, laughter, and liveliness. We would appreciate your esteemed presence as we lay to rest our son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and in-law on the 28th of June 2024.Kindly join us as we share the best and last moments with our icon.
