Late rapper Tupac's ring sold for $1 million at auction
Late Popular rapper Tupac's ring has been sold for a price of $1 million at auction recently. This is a record breaker as it was the most valuable Hip-Hop item sold at the auction.
This auction took place on Tuesday and this was the 25th of July, 2023. It was held at Sotheby's in New York.
This particular ring which was auctioned was actually designed for Tupac before he passed. This was after he was released from jail in New York and sang with Death Row Records.
Recall the rapper passed away in 1996 at the age of 25. He was shot by an unknown assassin during an attack that year.
The ring is a gold ring encrusted with diamonds and Ruby.
This ring surpassed what the auction house estimated. It surpassed by more than 3 times the original. This made it the most valuable Hip-Hop artifact that has ever been sold at an auction.
Yaasmyn Fulat, who was the Kate rapper's godmother, was the one who took the ring to the auction. She had helped him design the ring. She also revealed that this ring actually symbolized how he survived a down time in his life, after he had spent 8 months in jail.
Tuoac wore this ring many times but the last time he was seen wearing it was at the Video Music Awards (VMAs) in 1996.
