The Federal Police PRO CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has told the organizers of Mohbad's candlelight procession to launch a foundation in the late singer's name.
These past few weeks, fans and colleagues of the deceased artist have held several candlelight processions in various parts of the country in honor of the singer.
The recent one which sparked controversy on social media was held at Muri Okunola Park in Lagos.
Fans and celebrities came out en masse to pay their last respect to the artist but something unusual caught the attention of the Police PRO.
He took to X a few days ago to talk about how the procession turned into a party. He said he was at the venue and he witnessed people smoking and drinking.
He described this as an unpalatable conduct saying the attendees were neither sober nor did they observe any form of decorum.
A particular video of a lady who dressed provocatively shouting "Justice For Mohbad" also caught the policeman's attention.
He reacted to this saying if the organizers of the procession mean business, they should start a foundation in honor of Mohbad instead of hiding under the guise of seeking justice and taking advantage of such delicate situation.
