Former Brazil international Filipe Luis has announced his retirement from football at 38-year-old.
Luis has an amazing career playing for several top clubs, including; Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
Filipe Luis' football career peaked following his move to Atletico Madrid on July 1, 2010, for a fee of €12 million.
His exploits in Madrid led to him being considered as one of the best left-backs in football during his prime.
The Brazilian began his career at Figueirense FC, a third-tier club in Brazil, before joining Ajax on loan on August 13, 2004.
Following the expiration of his loan spell with the Dutch club, Luis returned to Figueirense, then subsequently joined Uruguayan second-tier club Rentistas.
The 38-year-old was afterward loaned to Spanish giants Real Madrid, and he represented the junior sides of the club.
However, the Madrid-based club opted not to sign him permanently, after Rentistas demanded a transfer fee.
