Leon Balogun will miss Nigeria's friendly against Mexico's El Tri owing to a calf injury. Balogun suffered the injury in Rangers' Scottish Cup final victory over Hearts last Sunday, according to camp sources.
The 33-year-old, on the other hand, is anticipated to play in the Super Eagles' second friendly against Ecuador.
Next week, the centre-back will travel to New Jersey to join his teammates in training camp.
Balogun's Rangers colleagues, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey, are already in the team's training camp in Dallas, Texas.
A total of 19 players are in camp with the team ahead of the friendly. The first friendly versus Mexico is scheduled for Saturday at AT & T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. On Thursday, the Ecuador friendly will be held at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison.
