Liverpool have blasted UEFA for allowing French police to use pepper spray and tear gas on their supporters.
Liverpool state they will want a full and thorough inquiry into the incident outside the Stade de France, which caused the match against Real Madrid to be postponed for 36 minutes.
Liverpool fans have already been implicated by UEFA for the incident, accusing them of attempting to obtain entry to the stadium using forged tickets.
The Premier League giants were disappointed that a large proportion of their supporters were unable to attend the spectacle.
"We are deeply disappointed by the stadium admission issues and security perimeter breach that Liverpool fans experienced this evening at Stade de France," Liverpool said in a statement on its website.
"This is the most important match in European football, and fans should not have to watch the scenes we've seen today." We've asked for a full investigation into the sources of these egregious problems.
