The incident happened in the Ogudu area of Lagos State where 38-year-old Raphael Agu, was accused of stabbing one Stanley Ugo amid an argument.

The argument ensued when the deceased and one other person confronted Agu for being unfair in his quest to share the money they received from a developer. The developer was said to have given Agu a sum of #15,000 to share among the area boys at Transformer Bus Stop.

During the heated argument, Agu pulled out a knife to stab Stanley which led to his death.

Thomas Nurudeen, the prosecutor in charge of the case, told the court that the offense is punishable by the criminal laws of Lagos. He further requested the Magistrate to remand the defendant.

Nurudeen's request was granted by Magistrate P.E Nwaka and the case was adjourned till the 5th of July, 2023. Presently, Agu is held in custody at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre.
