Man arraigned in court for stealing phone in Lagos

A man has been arraigned in court for stealing phone in Lagos State. It was the Lagos State Police Command, who arraigned him before a magistrates court at Ogba in Lagos.
This incident occurred on Wednesday. The suspect has been identified as Basit Ogunrombi and he is 21 years old.
He had allegedly stolen phones and some money worth N397,000.
He was faced with a 3 count charge of breach of peace, conspiracy and stealing.
Inspector Michael Kokoye who is the police prosecutor, revealed to the court that the defendant had committed this crime on the 19th of June, 2023.
He however pleaded not guilty to these chates that were read against him. The magistrate, S. O Obasa then granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 alongside two sureties in like sum.
They also adjourned the case till the 8th of August, 2023, for mention.
