Man charged to court for stealing students' phones in Yabatech.​



A man who has been identified as Babatunde Olayinka has been charged to court for stealing students' phones in Yabatech.

This man is 30 years old and he was arraigned before a Magistrates court on Monday.

His crimes were stealing phones from some students who attend the Yaba College of Technology in Lagos.

The phones he stole were reported to amount to a sum of N680,000. These phones belong to 2 students at the college.

This man was arraigned before Magistrate O. Y Adefope. It was revealed that he stole the phones on the 7th of June, 2023. This was around 2pm that day. It happened at the sports Complex on campus.

This man stole an iPhone 13 Promax and a Tecno Pova phone. These phones belong to Olamilekan Raheem and Oyindamola Masawe.


The suspect pleaded not guilty to these charges that were read against him.

After he pleaded not guilty, the Magistrate then granted him bail of N500,000 with 2 sureties in sum. He said these sureties must be responsible.

They then adjourned the case till the 29th of August 2023.
