Man electrocuted to death while allegedly trying to steal transformer cables in Imo state

A man has been electrocuted to death in Imo state while trying to steal some transformer cables. This man is yet to be identified.
This incident occurred last Thursday night. The lifeless body of this man was found next to the transformer. This was at the Government Secondary School in Owerri, Imo state.
A witness revealed this on Saturday to some journalists. He revealed that the burnt body of the victim was discovered next to the transformer. The transformer was a housed one but the man was found inside the fence of the transformer.
They suspected that this man was trying to steal some cables but had gotten electrocuted when the light came on.
The Principal of this school who is Mr Chukwujindu Anyikwa, has revealed that he reported the incident to the appropriate authorities like the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC). The EEDC visited the scene of the accident after the report to take action.
Sources revealed that this transformer was donated by the old boys association of this school.
