Man laments after discovering shredded naira notes.
A video of a man showing shredded naira notes dumped somewhere has gone round social media.
The man who wasn't identified showed the old naira notes which had been shredded into pieces.
His voice could be heard over the video as he lamented at how the money was wasted.
The shredded money was in a very large quantity. The man lamented over this as there is serious scarcity of cash in Nigeria now. Lots of Nigerians have gone through a lot these past few weeks to get cash only for them to discover such money in large quantities.
A lot of people have dropped their comments expressing their options over this matter. This seems to be quite painful especially when people are looking for cash.

There were pieces of N500 and N1000 naira notes that could be seen in the video. Recall that just recently, the Supreme Court gave orders that these old naira notes would still be legal tender till the 31st of December. Banks have since then dispensed the old notes but quite a number of traders have refused to accept this money and it has been difficult to deposit it back to the bank.
