Manchester United have reached an agreement with two Nice players Jean-Clair Tadibo and Khephrem Thuram as the club braces for a new beginning under the watch of new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Apparently, Sir Jim Ratcliffe must have played a big role on the agreement between United and the two players.
Jean-Clair Todibo is a 1999-born French youngster who plays as a center-back for Ligue 1 side Nice and France national team.
Known for his strength and perfect marking skills, Todibo groomed his career with Ligue 1 side Toulouse, rising through the club's academy before making his first senior appearance for the club in 2018. He made only 10 League appearances for the club, scoring one goal before joining La Liga and European giants Barcelona in 2019.
He played for one year with Barcelona, and managed only 4 La Liga appearances. While at Barcelona, Todibo spent most of his career with the Catalans on loan spells. He was loaned to Schalke in Germany, Benfica in Portugal, and Nice in France, where his loan move was subsequently made permanent.
The 24-year-old has won two caps with France national team since making his debut in 2023.
Khephrem Thuram is also a French and Nice professional footballer, playing as a midfielder in French Ligue 1. Kevin started his career with Monaco before joining Nice B in 2018. He made his first professional appearance for the club in 2019 and has recorded 122 appearances, scoring 8 goals. He made his national team debut for France in 2023 and has won only one cap with the team.
The two players are reportedly primed by Manchester United new football operators to replace the likes of Raphael Varane at the defense and Casemiro in the midfield.
The move by United for the two players buttresses Sir Jim Ratcliffe's resolve to restructure Manchester United's squad to his taste.
