Juan Mata, a long-time Manchester United FC midfielder, will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
This is a transitional summer at Old Trafford as new manager Erik ten Hag takes over and several key players leave. Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant have already announced their departures.
Manchester United announced on Wednesday that Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard, both academy graduates, would do the same.

Mata, who joined from Chelsea in January 2014 and has won four trophies and made 285 appearances, will now exist the club at the end of his contract to move to greener pastures.
"Manchester United can confirm that Juan Mata will leave the club this summer when his contract expires," the Old Trafford giants said in a statement released on Thursday.
"Thank you for giving Manchester United eight years of your career, Juan."
Everyone at the club wished him success in his intentions and future endeavors.
