Manchester United have fixed a deadline to make a new decision on Mason Greenwood's Manchester United future.

Under Richard Arnold, Greenwood's Manchester United future was a long gone conclusion in the ranks of the club's officials.

Sources close to the 13-time Premier League champions reveal Mason Greenwood was not set to play for Manchester United again with the club intent on cashing in on him when his loan tenure at Getafe expires.

Manchester United new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe stoked conversation on Mason Greenwood's Manchester United future again as he jettisoned the old narrative and insisted the club will take a new decision on the 22-year-old.

According to Transfer Live, Mason Greenwood will learn his fate, as per his Manchester United career, in May 2024 when the season comes to an end.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly set to roll out his new decision on the player by then having settled fully with his new team taking charge of Man United's sporting and footballing operations.

Meanwhile, it is understood Mason Greenwood is not overly moved on a return to Manchester United despite the olive branch extended by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

According to the Sun, sources close to the youngster claim he is reluctant to return to Old Trafford and is exploring the possibilities of continuing his career in the Spanish elite division where he has regained his happiness and is wholesomely accommodated by the fans.

His decision not to return to Manchester United has also been linked to his disapproval of how Manchester United treated his alleged rape case.

Greenwood has scored seven goals with five assists in 22 LaLiga games for Getafe. His impressive loan shift has earned him a widespread with top LaLiga clubs interested in a move for the player.

As things stand, it is more likely the English youngster will ignore a return to England to continue his career in LaLiga.
