Manchester United have slammed a new price tag on Mason Greenwood as they step up moves to sell the player in the summer.

Greenwood, who has made a roaring return to footballing action after his 18-month exile, has been linked to a permanent exit from Manchester United

The 23-year-old is on loan move to Getafe and will run out of the loan contract at the end of the summer. The English winger has put up a cluster of impressive performances for Getafe. He has 11 goal contributions for the club - 6 goals and 5 assists - in his 23 LaLiga appearances.

Following his impressive loan shift with the Madrid-based outfit, Greenwood has emerged as a top target for top LaLiga clubs with Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly interested in a move for the player.

Against previous projections that new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to consider a second decision on the player, Sources close to the Old Trafford have revealed United are ready to part ways with Mason Greenwood on a permanent exit.

Recently, United officials were spotted on a trip to Spain with Spanish outlets affirming the club was scouring for market for the player.

Real Madrid have receded off the horizons on the queue of clubs interested in a deal for Mason Greenwood but Barcelona is still looming large in the picture.

However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the Catalan giants are currently not pushing for a move for Mason Greenwood but could do so with the club bent on adding a lethal touch to their wing.

With interests still milling around Mason Greenwood, Manchester United have reportedly slammed a €50m price tag on the player, as per Marca.

Mason Greenwood will have a year left on his Manchester United by the time his loan deal with Getafe expires. Getafe are interested in keeping the youngster on a permanent contract but lacks the financial armory to push for a move.

Sources close to Manchester United revealed the club had previously rejected Getafe's move for a permanent deal due to an undervalued offer.

The club will be hoping to entertain higher offers from interested clubs in the coming days after their new price tag for the player.
