Aaron Wan-Bissaka could return to Crystal Palace as part of a swap deal for Manchester United to land Michael Olise.

The Red Devils have penciled down Wan-Bissaka amongst their priority targets for the summer of 2024 when Sir Jim Ratcliffe's £1.2 billion takeover at the club will be fully in effect.

Reports indicate that it is due to this reason that Manchester United are happy to activate the one-year extension option on Aaron Wan-Bissaka's contract in December 2023.

That would prevent Crystal Palace from attempting to sign Wan-Bissaka, who moved to Old Trafford on July 1, 2019, for a fee of €55 million.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka's contract runs until June 30, 2025, and it is unknown if Manchester United are willing to extend his deal further.

However, Erik Ten Hag's side wants to include him in a cash-plus-player deal to sign Michael Olise.

Olise has a four-year contract with Crystal Palace and the deal also includes a buy-out clause, which comes into effect in the summer of 2024.

The exact amount to activate or trigger the buy-out clause is unknown, however, it is expected to be closer to twice the £35 million buy-out amount embedded in Michael Olise's previous contract with Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace are believed to still be interested in signing their former defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Manchester United hope that his inclusion in the offer will put them in a better position to sign Olise.

Wan Bissaka has made 175 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 2 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions.

The 26-year-old has been impressive for the club every time he has been called up to feature for the team.

Despite his showing, it appears Erik Ten Hag prefers Diogo Dalot ahead of the Englishman at right-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has made 15 appearances for the Red Devils this term, scoring no goal and providing 2 assists in all competitions.

He is known for his excellent tackling abilities and his ability in one-on-one defensive battles.

Meanwhile, Michael Olise has also been a target of several big clubs in England, including; Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

Olise has garnered 80 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 11 goals and providing 20 assists in all competitions.

He has been an important player for Crystal Palace since he arrived at the club from Reading in 2021, for a fee of €9.3 million.

The 22-year-old is one of the first names on the team sheet of the club when fit, due to his immense attacking contributions to the team.

Michael Olise is a fantastic dribbler, creator, and finisher, with his goal-scoring input being visible in the league this campaign.

Olise has scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in just 9 Premier League games this campaign, an amazing return for a winger.
