Mohbad's candlelight procession started well but ended on a bad note yesterday as the police opened tear gas on attendees.
The candlelight procession was supposed to be a peaceful protest and a call for justice for the late singer but turned into a messy one as many got injured.
According to reports, the event which took place at Muri Okunola Park ended around 8pm but some participants stayed behind and took the protest to Lekki Tollgate.
This went on till 11pm yesterday and unfortunately, the police arrived at the scene and used tear gas on the protesters.
Word on the street is that some people hijacked the protest and turned it into a political event when a person died untimely.
