Mason Greenwood has made a shock U-turn on the Spanish FA investigations on Jude Bellingham after their verbal fallout.

Jude Bellingham mouthed slurs on Mason Greenwood during Real Madrid's LaLiga match against Getafe.

It was the first time the two England nationals came head-to-head in the Spanish topflight and it ended on a sad note.

Bellingham orchestrated the fallout after he aimed a swiping challenge on Mason Greenwood forcing the ball out of play. After the challenge, the former Borussia Dortmund star appeared to be mouthing insults at Greenwood, abusing him verbally.

No one could actually establish what Jude Bellingham said as he was not audible enough in the footage of the incident. However, some fans believed he was calling Mason Greenwood a 'rapist.'

Getafe reported the incident to LaLiga after the match. It is pertinent to note that Getafe did not make a claim on what Bellingham actually said but reported the incident as verbal abuse since the Real Madrid sensation was furious while he spoke.

LaLiga confirmed they will begin a probe of the incident with a lip reader to be employed to uncover what Belligham said.

Now, according to the Sun, Mason Greenwood, who was the target of Bellingham's alleged abuse, does not want the LaLiga to continue on their Investigation of the incident.

Sources close to Greenwood say he is worried the investigations may further plunge his career into a dark phase and could disrupt his career again.

Quoting a source, the Sin says;

'Greenwood doesn't want bad publicity and wants to get on with playing football.

'He was very upset at the time as he didn't expect it from someone liked Jude.

'But he knows he's always likely to be a target for that kind of stuff so he's accepted he'll need a thick skin.'

Since his return to footballing action after his 18-month exile, Greenwood has been in roaring form for Getafe . He has scored 5 goals with 5 assists in 22 LaLiga matches for Getafe.
