Members of OPC arrest robbery suspect in Ogun state
Members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) have arrested a suspected robber in Ogun state.
The arrested this man who was suspected to be a robber who participates in robbing people on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The suspect has been identified as Tajudeen and he was arrested on Monday around 7pm. He was trying to steal a generating set somewhere in Ogun.
They heard an alarm raised by the shop owner where he wanted to steal the generating set and the man had tried to escape but was caught.
After the arrest, they handed him over to the Police men on the expressway.
Sources say that this man belongs to a gang that has been troubling people on that expressway.
Sources also mention the man confessed to stealing from a fishpond nearby other than robbing people on the highway.
The suspect also confessed that his other members usually snatch people's bags and other things on the expressway. He also gave up the names of some of his gang members.
