Missing Fuoye student found dead in a shallow grave
A missing lady who has been identified as Atanda Modupe Deborah has been found dead in a shallow grave on campus recently. This lady is a 200 level student of the nursing department at Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE).
Earlier this month, September, she was declared missing after failing to return after she had gone to read. She was last seen on the 4th of September, 2023 on campus and then she went to read but never came back. Her disappearance had caused panic among the students and her family.
They have now discovered her lifeless body in a shallow grave. She was found on the 6th of September. Her eyes had been plucked out and her body was dumped in the grace behind the nursing Lecture Hall.
The Ekiti state Police command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abutu Sunday, jas released a statement via social media he shared this on X (Twitter). He revaked that the body was found about 30 meters behind the nursing Lecture Hall.
In his words “This is to inform the general public that the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Ogundare Dare, has ordered a thorough investigation into the cause of the death of one Atanda Modupe Deborah, a 200-level nursing student of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), who was declared missing within the school premises on 5/09/2023 but found dead in a shallow grave at a distance of about 30 meters behind the nursing Lecture Hall.”
He requested that everyone be calm as they are looking into the case and investigation ls have commenced. They also requested that anyone with information should reach out to them. He also added that 10 suspects have been taken in for investigation and the body of the victim has been taken to the morgue for autopsy.
He stated “Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy while 10 suspects are currently in custody undergoing investigation.”
