Missing medical students in Calabar boat incident confirmed dead.

Some medical students were involved in a boat accident a few days ago. These students were 14 in number and they had gone for a boat cruise and the boat capsized.

11 students were rescued by the navy and other villages who came to their aid. 3 were declared missing.

These 3 students have been confirmed dead in a recent development.

It was the Commissioner in Cross rivers state known as Gyogon Augustine Grimah who confirmed this incident.

These students didn't come from one university but had been together in the boat accident.

These students had gone to calabar for the annual Nigeria Medical Students Association Health Week.

Those who were rescued were taken to the hospital and have been released.

Some residents had seen some bodies floating on the river after the first rescue operation. They alerted the police who came to recover the bodies. They were 2 males and 1 female.

The event they had gone for consists of various activities and that fateful day, they had gone to the Marina Resorts when These students went on a boat cruise.

The first batch who went for the boat cruise went and came back safely but the second set did not return safely.

The 3 students who have been confirmed dead include Aisha Celestine Ogwo from the University of Uyo, in Akwa Ibom State, Mustapha Tukur from Ahmadu bello University and Hamza Kabir who is also from Ahmadu Bello University.
