Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Olalomi popularly known as Portable has revealed that the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad died because he betrayed his former label boss Naira Marley.
At the wake of the exit of his former signee Young Duu, Portable spoke about fake friends who appear nice on the outside but are backstabbers. He said it is unreasonable for an artist to keep going from one label to another with the aim of making it big in the industry. He quoted a Yoruba proverb saying betrayers usually meet their waterloo and they never make it out alive.
Portable said Mohbad died because he betrayed his former label boss Naira Marley. He said everything circulating online about Naira Marley and his label Marlians Record is false. He also narrated his experience about how he almost got implicated and was taken to prison.
He stated that Mohbad accused Naira Marley who made him a prominent artist of hating him without a cause and he left the label to join the enemies of Naira Marley while whining and dining with them.
Portable said people have been asking him if he signed artists to his label Zeh Nation and he said any artist he posts on his social media pages is his artist and investment. He advised artists not to cross-carpet in a bid to become a star because it has dire consequences.
Portable said Mohbad's ungrateful act cost him his life when he started hanging around his opponents. Addressing the exit of his former signee Young Duu, Portable said his own artists are now starting to turn against him.
He said he is unfazed by all that is coming his way because he will come out strong while referring to himself as "The Biggest Bird".
