Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that Mohbad is worth $690,000 and singer Naira Marley is still owing him N300m royalties for all the songs he wrote for Marlians Music.
In a tweet yesterday, she said almost 97% of songs produced by Marlians Music when Mohbad was signed to the label were written by him.
Meanwhile, he wasn't given any royalties. She listed Mohbad as the third best songwriter in Nigeria as Tiwa Savage and Teni tops the list.
She suggested that Mohbad's team should ensure to take legal action towards retrieving the late singer's catalogue and all his streaming proceeds from the label.
