Nigerian indigenous artist Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner popularly known as Zoro Swagbag has revealed that late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad was already prepared even before he died.
While speaking to Pop Central, Zoro revealed that Mohbad was his friend while he was alive and they met after Mohbad's hit song "Ko Por Ke (KPK)" dropped in 2021. After he heard the song, he reached out to Mohbad and told him how much he loved the song.
Zoro said they met after that and they connected. He said the meeting wasn't about music but just to get to know him better. He said he likes connecting with people first so as to know where they stand in his life.
He spoke about how he connected with Mohbad and they had conversations about his personal life. Mohbad opened up to him and he offered advice. Zoro said he met with Mohbad again this year but his attitude was totally different from last year.
He said, "This year, we linked but it was a different Moh. It was a Moh that was more careful. He was war ready for whatever negative thing you're bringing to him. Last year he wasn't like that. He was very free. This year, he was very careful, always checking everything. I saw it in his eyes."
Zoro said he wasn't worried about Mohbad to a large extent because he thought he was in a good place and he could manage himself. He also spoke about Mohbad's resilience and how he waited for hours so they could be able to record his song M.A.D.
He recalled how happy Mohbad felt recording with him that day and how they planned to release the song and create content to promote the song before he died. He said, "We were supposed to create content for the song on the 10th and he died on the 11th."
