Nigerian Police PRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi has spoken about why the crowd at Mohbad's candlelight procession was dispersed with tear gases by the Policemen. He said that a procession is done to honor the dead and shouldn't have turned into a ground for reckless smoking and drinking.

According to Olumuyiwa, he was shocked to see people in their multitudes converge at the Lekki Toll gate after the initial procession had ended at the approved park. He said that made him question the true intention of these people whether they were for justice or against justice for the late Mohbad. He also added that such gathering could have been infiltrated by individuals who were out to execute the orders of their masters to cause chaos at the Lekki toll gate. Hence, the reason everyone was dispersed with tear gas.

PRO Olumuyiwa ended his statement by urging the citizens to exercise patience as they investigate the case of Mohbad and show support towards the Nigerian Police.

These are the clips of when people ran for their dear lives after the Police dispersed them with tear gas.

I think Mohbad's story should lead to naming a law in his name to prevent further bullying in business places and endangering people's lives.
