Online Marketplace, eBay has announced that it would be firing about a thousand workers which amounts to about 9% of its total workforce because it hasn't been a good time for the company business-wise.
Jamie Lanone, the CEO at eBay wrote in a blog post tagged ''ensuring eBay's long-term success" that the business is facing external pressures, such as the challenging macroeconomic environment and because of this, they have chosen to re-strategize.
"Despite facing external pressures, like the challenging macroeconomic environment, we know we can be better with the factors we control," she wrote. eBay has long been in the market, as far back as 1995, and over the years, with more than 12,000 employees, it has moved through every rollercoaster of the e-commerce business.
