Nigeria and South Africa have a long-standing rivalry on the football field, and the upcoming games between the two African Giants are sure to be nail-biting and intense.

The upcoming clashes between the Super Falcons and Banyana Banyana, as well as the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana, are highly anticipated matches that will captivate fans from both countries and beyond.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will face Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the final round of the Olympic Qualifiers in April.

Both women's national football teams are vying for a spot at the Summer Olympics in Paris, and the match holds significant importance for both sides.

Nigeria and South Africa both advanced to the final round after coming through their third-round qualifiers as expected.

Nigeria eliminated Cameroon, while South Africa saw off Tanzania, setting the stage for an exciting showdown between the two rivals.

The Nigeria Super Falcons have a strong history in football and have consistently performed well in international competitions.

On the other hand, South Africa has been steadily progressing in the women's game and are eager to make a great comeback against the Super Falcons.

Banyana Banyana made their Olympic debut in 2012 and returned for their second appearance in the 2016 Rio Games.

They achieved a historic win in 2022 by claiming their first Wafcon title after previous silver and bronze medals.

Their victory was made even sweeter by the fact that they defeated Nigeria on their path to this historic success.

Meanwhile, the upcoming match between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and Banyana Banyana will be a completely different challenge compared to their previous encounter.

The unpredictable and formidable Super Falcons have been a dominant force in women's soccer in Africa for over 20 years, winning the Women's Africa Cup of Nations 11 times.

The match between Super Falcons and Banyana Banyana will be played on the 1st and 9th of April and it will determine one of the two African teams that will compete in Paris in July, 2024.

The Super Eagles will face Bafana Bafana for the World Cup qualifiers

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bafana Bafana of South Africa will face off in a crucial World Cup Qualifier match in June as they both vie for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

The upcoming clash between Nigeria and South Africa is expected to be another memorable encounter, as the Super Eagles have a perfect record against Bafana Bafana in African football competition.

Nigeria had emerged victorious in their three previous meetings, including a 2-0 win in 2000, a 4-0 victory in 2004, and a 2-1 triumph in 2019.

In their most recent encounter, Nigeria defeated South Africa in a penalty shootout thriller to reach the 2023 AFCON final, where they ultimately lost to the host country, Ivory Coast.

However, the Super Eagles did not have a strong start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, drawing their first two matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe despite being favored to win.

They currently sit in third place, two points behind group leaders Rwanda and one point behind second-placed South Africa.

Nigeria are in Group C with South Africa, Rwanda, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and Benin. They will face South Africa on June 2 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

With eight more games remaining in the qualifying rounds, the Super Eagles will need to secure as many points as possible.

This is because only one team will earn an automatic 2026 FIFA World Cup spot, with the second-placed team having to participate in a playoff stage for a chance to qualify.
