Seun Kuti, singer and son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti has made headlines following his recent statement about monogamy.
In an interview on the Bahd and Boujee podcast hosted by Tolanibaj and Moet Abebe, Seun Kuti said having one wife can never work for a man. Seun, who is legally married, explained that a powerful man must have powerful goddesses around him. He went on to say that most people know his late father Fela had 27 wives but they don't know he also had over 100 girlfriends who lived with them.
Kuti said, "Monogamy doesn't work. As a powerful man, you must have the support of numerous powerful goddesses. Women are in your life because the ancestors put them there. You share with them as you share with your wife"
