Nollywood actor Chidi Mokeme has revealed that his father never supported his dream as an actor.
In an interview with Chude, Mokeme stated that he couldn't even tell his father that he wanted to become an actor because he knew it was not debatable. He started as a commercial model before he launched his acting career. He would sneak out of the house because he couldn't inform his father about his whereabouts.
Chidi Mokeme said he tried studying Pharmacy at the University but it wasn't happening. He began studying Computer Science which he found interesting but he lost motivation because there was no equipment in school to learn. He then decided to leave home due to the internal pressure from his father.
His moment of realization was the day he got a call that he landed a sub-lead role in a movie. That morning, he was preparing for his exams and he didn't know what to do. He had to make a quick decision to leave school for a movie set. Though he had his fair share of punishment from his father, that decision changed his life.
