"My goal is to promote Afrobeats music outside of the country" Kiddwaya reveals in recent interview
Popular Ex-Big BBNaija All Stars housemate, Kiddwaya, has shared his goal which is to promote and protect Afrobeats. He termed the people he is protecting Afrobeats from as 'vultures'. He is of the opinion that Nigerian artists should get a grip on Afrobeats.
Kiddwaya's real name is Terseer Waya but he is known popularly as Kiddwaya he was on the Big Brother Naija Lockdown season 5 show in 2020 before coming to the All-Stars show in 2023. He is the first son of Terry and Susan waya.
He revealed this during a recent interview on MTV Base Africa’s programme which is Official Naija Top 10. He revealed that he believes that Nigerian artists need to do more for afrobeats so that 'vultures' won't get hold of it.
He stated “I want us to really be able to maintain our grip on afrobeats. Because I fear that we do all this hard work and it will be completely owned by the white person. I feel like we need to do more to own our stuff. So, my goal is to promote Afrobeats music outside of the country and bring in the right partners so that ownership is shared. Because there are some vultures out there who just want to come and take everything; they own the artistes, they own the labels, they own everything"
