Naira Marley files lawsuit of N500 million against Iyabo Ojo for defamation of character
Nigerian Afrobeats singer Naira Marley has filed a lawsuit of N500 million against actress Iyabo Ojo over defamation of character and false accusations. The heading in the lawsuit reads, "Demand for the sum of N500 million as damages for the libel, falsely and malicious published of Azeez Fashola(aka Naira Marley) on your official Instagram handle."
It stated that Iyabo Ojo published some untrue words against Naira Marley sometime in December. It disclosed where Iyabo Ojo called Naira Marley a drug addict who used to lace the food of his signees with hard drugs. It also quoted where Iyabo Ojo said Naira Marley had dealt with Mohbad spiritually, mentally, and physically which ended up resulting in Mohbad's death.
Recall that Iyabo Ojo was at the forefront of seeking justice for the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad. She employed her platform to call out the right authorities and get them to investigate Mohbad's mysterious death. Both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were arrested and detained by the Nigerian Police and after a while, they were set free.
