NDLEA arrests 34 suspects drug hideouts in Abuja
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the Federal Capital Territory Command in Abuja arrested 33 suspects in a raid in Abuja.
This incident happened on Thursday. The agency revealed that they had raided some drug hideouts in Abuja and were able to arrest 34 people.
Mr Kabir Tsakuwa who is the commander of the agency In FCT was the one who revealed this to journalists in Abuja.
He said some of these suspects have been charged while others are going through counseling.
They carried out this operation in order to curb the use of drugs and its abuse especially since a new administration in Nigeria is about to click.
They had initiated this operation to shut down drug centers in Abuja. They said they will continue until all drug dens have been eradicated in Abuja.
From the raid, they were able to seize various drugs like tramadol, codeine, Rohypnol, and others.
