NDLEA arrests over 181 drug suspects in five months in Ogun state
Operatives of The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ogun State, revealed that they have arrested over 181 suspects dealing in drugs within 5 months.
They revealed this on Thursday. They said they have arrested 181 people who are suspected drug dealers withing these months and they have also recovered 3 pistols.
The state Commander of the NDLEA, who is Ibiba Odili, revealed this via a statement. This was during a press briefing that held in commemoration of the 2023 United Nations International Day which was against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking.
He revealed that the agency had led some operations which led to the arrests they made other than recovering weapons, they also recovered some hard drugs through this operation
She said that out of these 181 suspects, 147 are male while the remaining 34 are female. This 5 month us counting from February till date.
They have been able seize a total of 3,14151 tonnes, 9.4259kgs psychotropic substance, 29.8g of cocaine, 1,446.5 litres of skuches, codeine 7.65 litres and 1.8906kgs of methamphetamine.
