The NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi shared this via the agency's page on Sunday that officials had seized laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and other illegal substances on the Okene-Lokoja-Abuja expressway.

The spokesman reported saying, "No fewer than 1,194 cylinders of laughing gas with a total weight of 2,547.2 kilograms loaded in two Toyota Sienna buses were on Friday 22nd September intercepted by NDLEA operatives along the Okene-Lokoja-Abuja expressway."

The two suspects who were identified as Kenneth Igwe and Onyebuchi Ikpozu were caught with at least 4,000 kgs each of laughing gas, codeine, tramadol, and skunk.

The NDLEA revealed that the two suspects were transporting the drugs to the capital city before they got caught and arrested.
