NDLEA seizes drugs worth billions of naira from lagos warehouse
Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have seized loads of drugs worth billions of naira from a warehouse in lagos. These drugs were stacked in a warehouse which has been discovered by the NDLEA operatives.
The warehouse where theses drugs were stored is located in International Trade Fair Complex, Alaba, Ojo area of Lagos. This happened on Saturday, 19th of August 2023.
The warehouse belongs a drug Lord who is wanted by the agency. They were able to recover 1.4 million pills of tramadol 225mg. These drugs weigh 826kilograns. They also recovered 3.2 million pills of codeine which weighs 3,360kgs; and another 2,841 cartons of codeine syrup. The cartons codeine syrup contain 284,100 bottles of the syrup.
The Value of these drugs combined together is N4,820,500,000 (Four Billion Eight Hundred and Twenty Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira). The operation which was raiding this warehouse lasted for some hours.
They were able to arrest a man named Paulinus Ojukwu. This man is the Chief Security Officer to the wanted drug don/baron. He has been arrested is is undergoing investigation and interrogation.
Recall some weeks back, a female drug baron whose name is Faith Ebele Nwankwo was arrested by NDLEA. She was arrested in Lagos on the 9th of August. They recovered 2,750,000 (2 million 750 thousand) pills of tramaking from her residence which is located at House 6, C close, 3rd Avenue, Festac area of Lagos and also from a warehouse which is located at Plot 3432 Sola Akinsola Street, Divine Estate, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
