Nigerian female footballer, Asisat Oshoala received criticisms over her mode of celebration after the Nigerian Falcons won the match against Australia in this season's Female World Cup.
When Asisat scored, she hurriedly yanked off her jersey with great excitement over her victory. Agba footballer as she is popularly called even wrote on her IG how her daddy was not happy with the way she publicly took off her shirt. Additionally, some people said taking off her jersey in public is not appropriate for a lady while some jumped in on Asisat's defense.

A Ghanian with the handle @Views09 called out his hypocrisy and demands he praise Asisat for making Nigeria proud instead of criticizing her "You’re one of the reasons why Ghanaians like me claim your stars cause after securing your qualification how do you post things like this? You should praise her and if you can’t do that, will have to claim her like Hilda Baci. I arrest my case."
